Choice Care Your Way is a caregiver registry providing high quality matches of companions & caregivers to clients who need one on one care at home, in assisted living communities, during hospital stays or in other facilities.
We are pleased to offer the Western North Carolina an alternative to traditional home care via transferring choice to clients & to potential caregivers/companions. During the most vulnerable chapter of life, quality care evolves with mutual chemistry between client and caregiver. Who is better qualified to determine a good match other than these two people?
Lisa Laney MSW CMC Lisa Laney, from Boone, NC received her BSW from Appalachian State University and her MSW from UNC-CH concentrating in both health and aging services. Her entire career has been devoted to medical social work in hospitals, nursing facilities, home health agencies, palliative care programs, and private care management services. She served five years on the national board of Aging Life Care Association®. Lisa continues to enjoy her commitment to facilitating Parkinson’s support groups since 2003.
Ramie has been with Choice Care Your Way since 2019. She is the friendly, understanding voice you will hear when you call during the week. She is a great resource to explain the unique model of our registry and the benefits this model offers both caregivers and clients alike. Connecting caregivers to clients for superb matching opportunities and organizing the schedule once the clients & caregivers decide what their needs are is where Ramie’s communication and organizational skills really shine.
Ramie settled in Western NC in 1997 to pursue her college career at Warren Wilson College & has remained since. She considers the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains home, where she has happily raised her two children & two cats. She enjoys hiking/camping, gardening, dancing, Indian food & traveling. Her mission is to create a life full of passion, purpose and joy.
Terri Rogers – Administrative Assistant
Terri has been with Choice Care Your Way since 2020. If you call CCYW on the weekend you will most likely get in touch with our weekend Administrative Assistant extraordinaire, Terri. She is nothing less than a rock star, and we value her hard work and attention to detail. She picks up all the pieces from during the week and does it with grace.
Terri is native to Western NC area and enjoys plants, animals, walking and helping others. She has a degree in medical office administration, along with a certificate in office management. She brings a great work ethic, compassion & a positive, can-do attitude to CCYW.
Terri Frue – Administrative Assistant
Terri moved to Asheville in 2001 to continue her career in the mortgage business. In 2004 Terri had twins and decided to be a stay at home mom. She returned to work in 2015 part-time while being available for her children in the afternoons. Now with her children in college, Terri decided it was time to share her energy and compassion in a new way. She joined Choice Care Your Way in September of 2024, right as Hurricane Helene crashed into Western North Carolina. No better test as to resilience and creative problem solving than juggling a new career while rebuilding your home.
