Our Story
Beth and Lisa, both local to WNC, have been colleagues in the field of Geriatric Care Management, now known as Aging Life Care Professionals, for more than a decade. Through their common experiences serving seniors, Beth and Lisa each recognized that dedicated, skilled care providers make the difference in maintaining medical stability, quality of life, and happiness for the senior.

Our Approach
The most successful care providers share many special attributes. Lisa and Beth have created Choice Care, Your Way as an avenue to attract these stellar, devoted care providers. The name of the company indicates this objective...we expect the care providers will be able to utilize their skills to their fullest extent with clients with whom they have achieved a meaningful match/connection through Choice Care, Your Way’s model.
In our experience, clients have requested more autonomy in the selection process and creation of their plans of care. Choice Care, Your Way as a company name sends a message to seniors that they have complete CHOICE of choosing their care providers and establishing their unique care services. We share a wealth of experience with listening to seniors and accurately understanding their individual needs and desires. Additionally, their experiences with extended families enhance their ability to be efficient and thorough through consistent communication and advocacy.
Meet the Team
Lisa Laney
Owner
MSW, CMC Aging Life Care Professional
Lisa has worked with the aging population in the healthcare system since 1988. As a native of Boone, Lisa has an understanding of the people who choose to live in these beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. She serves as the facilitator for the Asheville Parkinson's Support Group and is on the Board of Directors for the Aging Life Care Association (ALCA).
Education
She obtained her BSW from Appalachian State University and her MSW from UNC-CH with dual concentrations in Aging and Health.

Lisa's career history as a medical social worker spans the full continuum of care:
- Discharge Planner in the hospital setting
- Social Worker in a nursing facility
- Home Health Social Worker
- Palliative Care Social Worker
- Geriatric Care Manager
Beth M Lamb
Owner
RN, CMC
As a registered nurse, Beth knew early in her career that she desired to make an impact with clients that she served. Beth gained valuable experience throughout the years which provided her with a strong foundation in nursing. Beth found her passion and niche in Home Care. The In-Home setting promotes care of the Total Person. Recognizing each person's physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual being is paramount to providing client-centered quality care.
Education
Beth received her nursing degree from New Hampshire Hospital School of Nursing in 1980. She has a Geriatric Care and Management Certification from Kaplan University School of Continuing & Professional Studies. Additionally, she is Care Manager Certified (CMC) by the National Academy of Certified Care Managers.
Experience
Motivated to always "Do her best", Beth found herself striving to master many different fields of nursing. Throughout the years, Beth has worked in:
- Hospital settings (Dialysis, Cardiac, Intensive Care)
- Family Practice (medical office nurse)
- School Nursing
- Home Care (Care Manager, Private Duty Senior Management, and Palliative Care)
